The Indian Institute of Astrophysics is celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Kodaikanal Solar Observatory (KSO), established in 1899. This observatory has played a crucial role in advancing solar physics and ionospheric research. The year-long celebration, which started on 1 April 2024, includes various academic and public outreach events. The meeting "Discussion on India’s Next Leap in Solar and Heliospheric Exploration," scheduled for 29-31 July 2024 at IIA Bengaluru, is also part of this celebration.
