We are delighted to announce the Indian Institute of Astrophysics In-House Science Symposium 2026, scheduled to take place from April 07–10, 2026. The symposium provides a dedicated platform for academic members of the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), including Faculty Members, Technical Staff, Postdoctoral Researchers, and PhD Students, to come together and present their latest research in astrophysics.
The scientific program will feature a diverse range of contributions, including oral presentations, poster presentations, and Poster + Flash Talk sessions. This interactive format is designed to encourage engagement, facilitate the exchange of ideas, and promote collaborative discussions that advance the Institute’s scientific endeavors.
All academic members of IIA are invited to submit abstracts and participate in exploring interdisciplinary connections and celebrating the Institute’s vibrant research ecosystem. PhD students and Postdoctoral Researchers are encouraged to present their recent research, while Faculty Members are encouraged to submit abstracts that provide an overview of their group’s recent research within the broader scientific context of the field.
Based on the number of abstracts received in previous years, this year's symposium is planned as a four-day event to accommodate more oral presentations. However, as the number of submissions is expected to exceed the available slots for oral presentations, contributors, particularly those wishing to present work at an early stage, are encouraged to consider poster presentation or the poster+flash talk category.
