Science as a Candle in the DarkSCOPE Public Lecture

On this National Science Day, we ask what made modern science an incredibly successful human enterprise for creating knowledge. We will examine the essential features of the Scientific Method and discuss historical examples of how science has led to technological advances and social changes. We will end with a discussion on the relevance of Scientific Method in the current "post-truth" world. The title of this talk is taken from that of a famous book by Carl Sagan.
