 nd co-founder\, Infosys)\n\nAbstractWe have entered an era of intelligence
  available to all.  Every sector\, including research\, will need to tran
 sform to take advantage of this change. India can leverage this to create 
 new leadership in technology and the application of intelligence. Senapat
 hy “Kris” Gopalakrishnan is a co-founder of Infosys and served as its 
 Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director from 2007 to 2011. He is cur
 rently the Chairman of Axilor Ventures\, which supports early-stage start-
 ups and entrepreneurship in India. A strong advocate for scientific resear
 ch and innovation\, he has supported major initiatives in brain science\, 
 ageing\, computing and higher education through the Pratiksha Trust. Mr. G
 opalakrishnan holds Master’s degrees in physics and computer science fro
 m the Indian Institute of Technology\, Madras. He is a Fellow of Indian Na
 tional Academy of Engineers (INAE) and an Honorary Fellow of Institution o
 f Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) of India. In recognit
 ion of his contributions to industry and society\, the Government of India
