 Wageesh Mishra (IIA\, Bengaluru)\n\nIndian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA)
  is a premier national center for research and development in observationa
 l astronomy\, theoretical astrophysics and related physics. The main campu
 s of the institute is in Koramangala\, Bangalore. It operates observationa
 l facilities at Kodaikanal\, Kavalur\, Gauribidanur and Hanle over a wide 
 range of electromagnetic spectrum\, and experimental facilities at its cam
 pus in Hosakote near Bangalore. The institute is also participating in nat
 ional and international development projects on ground-based as well as sp
 ace-borne observational facilities.With the aim of motivating students fro
 m colleges and universities across the country for research\, IIA has inst
 ituted various programmes. As part of this\, IIA organizes a summer progra
 mme every year\, wherein students are exposed to research in Astronomy and
  Astrophysics. This year the program will be held at kso during 8 - 17 Ju
 ne\, 2026.  One can apply by logging into application portal. Selected st
 udents will be given accommodation\, food and local transport during the s
 ummer school.The program will consist of lectures\, tutorials and demonstr
 ations. To this effect\, applications (online only) are invited from stud
 ents who are in the pre-final year of their M.Sc/Integrated M.Sc./Integrat
 ed BS-MS (in Physics/Astronomy)/B.E/B.Tech. for the Summer Programme.Who c
 an apply?The students who:are currently pursuing their M.Sc or B.Tech. fin
 al year degree in the disciplines of Astronomy/Physics/Mathematics/Enginee
 ring .Around 40 students will be selected for summer school. Shortlisting 
 based on their academic records and motivation to attend the school.Last d
