Description

International Women's Day 2026

A special talk and interaction session with Madhu Bhushan, an independent feminist activist, (re)searcher, and occasional filmmaker who has been deeply engaged in the women’s movement and allied struggles for over four decades.

Her work is rooted in advancing social justice, peace, human rights, and dignity, particularly for marginalized communities. She is associated with organizations such as SIEDS and the Gamana Mahila Samuha, and has collaborated with a range of networks working on issues including the rights of sex workers, trans communities, and Adivasi groups. Through sustained grassroots engagement, research, and advocacy, she has contributed to building solidarities across movements and strengthening intersectional feminist perspectives within broader struggles for equity and justice.
