Description

Abstract

The Coma cluster is one of the nearest and best-studied galaxy clusters, providing an excellent laboratory for understanding the interplay between radio emission and its environment. Radio observations with high resolution and high sensitivity are crucial for probing both diffuse and compact sources in such systems.

We will present high-resolution, high-sensitivity observations of the Coma cluster field with the upgraded GMRT, a pathfinder instrument. We will report on the nature of diffuse emission from a variety of radio sources in the Coma cluster. We will also present early results for ultra-diffuse galaxies residing in cluster environments. In addition to presenting results for these sources using the upgraded GMRT, we will make predictions for expectations from the Square Kilometre Array.
