Description

Star clusters are the group of stars that are formed around the same time but have different masses. Clusters have always served as an open laboratory for the evolutionary study of the universe. Here, we use the Gaia DR3 data of stars in young star-forming regions to identify cluster members and perform kinematic and structural studies to link them with the star formation processes. With the availibiliy of much precise proper motion data, we have studied the kinematics of the clusters. In this talk, we discuss the cluster member identification and their parameters (age, distance, metallicity and extinction) estimation method that we have used. We will also discuss the mass-dependent velocity dispersion within the cluster and the possibility of having walk away stars in the cluster.
